Jerry Frey is one of the newest members of this rockin' blues band and the oldest (He's a Grandpa!) Playing bass since the age of 13, he has been around the block a couple of times. While in different bands he's shared the stage with groups such as, The Beau Brummels, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, The Smoke Ring, and country star Susan Raye.
He traveled as a "road" musician early on with various groups including Dan Foral & The Drifters, Larry Good & The Goodtimes and Summer Breeze. Jerry was playing and recording the oldies (when they were brand new tunes) in the 60's, country and country rock through the 70's, and moved into Southern fried Rock 'N' Roll through the 80's, 90's and still sings a few of those tunes yet today. He's always had a blues side, listening to and learning from B.B. King and other blues masters from the word go.

His first band experience was with "The Echoes" out of Columbus, NE. They played all over Nebraska and ventured into South Dakota and Kansas during their 5 years together. They sometimes played 3-4 nights every week while still in high school. They were inducted as a group into the Nebraska Rock 'N' Roll Hall of fame in 2000 (www.nebrocks.org) as one of the pioneer rock bands of rhythm and blues music we all enjoy today!

For Jerry LIVE music is where it's at. While playing into the new century with a variety of different bands, Jerry has a mastery of his instrument but say's he still has a lot to learn. He's put down the bottom end for every group he has ever played with. Now he's laying it down with Ryan Comte on drums for a great new rhythm section. With the rest of the guy's "OUT OF THE BLUE" is one of the hottest blues bands around eastern Nebraska. Expect this band to be around for quite awhile.

Jerry's still pickin' and a grinnin' after 40+ years. You gotta catch this show whenever you can for a great night of listening and dancing to blues and rock 'n roll at it's finest!
